In 2014, the Tour de France cycle race will pass through Yorkshire, with Stage 1 of the world famous event taking the cyclists 190km from Leeds to Harrogate on Saturday 5th July and Stage 2, 201km from York to Sheffield on Sunday 6th July.
Apollo Cradles Ltd and Apollo Scaffold Services Ltd will be part of the celebrations at Langsett, where the Le Hub tour festival will be taking place at a key point on Stage 2 of the route.
Apollo Cradles and Apollo Scaffold Services are supplying a covered stage to the event, made from their 750mm X-Beam, while on the Flouch roundabout where the A616 and A628 meet, you can see Apollo’s very own oversized bike decked out in the company’s colours on top of a 1500mm X-beam gantry.
Kevan Herbert, managing director of the company, said:
“Apollo were asked by Paul Woodcock of Giant Events to manufacture and supply a stage for the festival at The Flouch , Langsett. We did so free of charge for a chance to advertise.”
